We will be meeting at 5:00 pm at the Information Kiosk located at the intersection of the Pearl Street Mall and 13th Street. From there, all members will be divided into groups and given maps of the downtown area along with a list of the most important places to shoot. Two hours should be plenty of time to wander around with cameras and take lots of great photos with new friends, before attending the Photo Club party later in the evening.Over the weekend, everyone participating should edit their 10 best photographs taken around downtown Boulder. At our weekly meeting next Tuesday, October 11th, we will be collecting photo sets and signing release forms for each person wishing to enter their photos into the contest.As a prize for three photographers with the best sets of photos, Downtown Boulder will provide gift cards: $150 for first place, $75 for second place, $50 for third place. Winners will be announced approximately 1 week after submitting photos to the Photo Club.

Downtown Boulder is holding it’s annual Fall Festival downtown all weekend (Friday-Sunday), with art, music, food, drinks, you name it.

The best part is that we have been invited to be event photographers around town to document the festivities. We understand that a lot of you are going on the Estes Park trip, however this opportunity is flexible since the event begins Friday evening and ends on Sunday evening. You could probably spend a good 30 minutes walking around downtown with your friends, snap some shots of the events and people around town, and have a great chance to win $100!

We’re headed to Estes Park on Friday 9/23 and spending the night! Space is very limited (only a couple spots left) so shoot us an email if you’re interested.

Photo Scavenger hunt on October 7th hosted by Downtown Boulder

-Big prizes this year, so get psyched. Scavenger hunts are always fun, and we’re having a party later that night. Details to come.

• If you’re unfamiliar with the Boulder Photography Club, attend one of our informational meetings to find out who we are, what we do, and you’ll be a part of as a member of the club. This year we have a lot of great ideas that we will be implementing as the semester progresses. Come be apart of a fun, relaxed and informative group.

• We will continue meeting at the same location, Room 308 in the Visual Arts Center. Our weekly meetings will be filled with guest speakers, peer critiques, seminars, and presentations.

Fall Camping Trip
Estes Park: Late September (TENTATIVE)

• This Fall we’ll be heading out to Estes Park for a photoclub adventure. Get to know new people, partake in wilderness debauchery, and maybe learn a thing or two about photography as we go explore the picturesque Rocky Mountains. More details to come.
